With a Solid
Foundation of Excellent Bloodlines, we continue to strive to breed
Quality English Setters. Hilary Oakes (formerly Tunstill) has been
seriously breeding and showing English Setters under the Sevenoaks
Kennel name for over twenty years. During this time Sevenoaks
English Setters have won Canadian and U.S. English Setter
Specialty Awards and Placements listed below. Pictures of
these award winning dogs can be found throughout our website.
In addition to the many AKC and CKC show Champions;
Sevenoaks has also bred Obedience Champions, English Setters that
have won placements in AKC Field Trials and also qualifying scores
in AKC Hunting Tests and CKC Field Dog Tests.
The all round English Setter that combines, sound
temperaments, outstanding conformation and who possess an instinct
and ability to hunt, the function for which they were originally bred
to do, are the qualities that Sevenoaks strives to produce with
each new litter. Our breeding program is totally focused
with the goal of improving on the previous generation, while
maintaining that overall "type" we love.
